A traveller is a person who keeps travelling from places to places to explore new things and meet new people. People either travel in groups or alone. Those who travel alone are called solo travellers. The best part of being a solo traveller is that you can go wherever you want to, eat whatever you feel like eating, see whatever you want to and stay wherever you find yourself comfortable with.
I also consider myself a solo traveller who loves new food and new places. I have been on solo trips to many domestic and international destination and tried plenty of things that challenged me to come out of my comfort zone.
Recently I was on a solo trip to Nepal and I had o planning or any idea about the place. That was for the first time that I went to any place without planning anything. I just had my backpack and my debit and credit card. I had no idea how am I going to get there. I just had the idea of getting a visa on arrival in Nepal. It sounds strange but yes, the fact that I could instantly get a visa on arrival in Nepal was the only thing that made me pursue the trip all alone.
I have a backpack that is always ready to move. I use that backpack for travelling only.
I had my flight from Kolkata international airport to Kathmandu international airport in Nepal. I landed there and I got the visa on arrival. It was so easy and I was very much tensed regarding all these.
Nepal is such a beautiful place to visit. I stayed there for seven days in a hotel. Though I kept changing my place of stay as I kept roaming around the country. There are many places to see in Nepal. I am listing down the most famous places that one must visit if they ever get to go to Nepal :
- Pashupati Nath Temple
- Pokhra valley
- International mountain museum
- Nagarkot
- Boudhanath
- National Museum of Nepal
- Hanuman Dhoka temple
- White monastery
- Swayambhu Mandir
I visited almost all the above-mentioned places and I wanted to see more place but the lack of time was the biggest obstacle between me and my passion. I travelled back to Kolkata to join the office I had taken a break from. Those seven days were the best of all the days. I stayed there, met new people and had foods that I never touched before.
Nepal is a damn gorgeous place, surrounded by nature’s choicest attractions. The place also boasts of remarkable historical and cultural attractions like temples and constructions that speak a lot about the rich history and culture of the country.
Never miss an opportunity if you ever get to visit that place. It’s worth spending dollars on. There are many things to do and see. I had the best of experiences while my stay in Nepal.
